It is crucial to step outside the dorms, run around and get some fresh air and what better way to do that through some competitive fun games with your friends. Studies also prove that playing sports and maintaining good health, benefits your academics and will allow you to excel in school. It also gives you the ability to try new sports that have intrigued you and you never had the opportunity to play or just sports that sounded interesting to you. Now you have the opportunity to play and develop and learn new skills in various sports.
Intramural sports help you also develop stronger bonds between your friends and create new ones as well. Playing on a team together involves teamwork, thus deepens your connection with your friends. Also, there could be people you’ve never met before on your team and from there you can create new friendships. A strong part of college is create a network of friends, friends that you can trust and lean on through these fantastic yet difficult years of your life, and these friends might develop into the ones you could trust and hold on to forever.
